Just did a quick study - going to expand it for the month 2 run to include way more keywords and way more niches but the first run just included a handful of mainstream YMYL (health and finance) keywords as a quick experiment to see if anything interesting would show up. Used originality.ai because it's the only detector we could get to reliably pick up our test set of AI content prior to running the trial.
The idea is it will serve as a useful 'canary in the coalmine' if that number suddenly drops to 2% or something... or just keeps rising steadily over time it'll give us a clear steer on how Google is viewing top sites using AI generated content.
Here's what we found:
* 72% Of The Top 'Your Money/Your Life' Results On Google Remain Highly Likely Written by Humans
* Of The 'Uncertain' Sites Manual Review Of The AI Data Revealed Significant Use of AI To 'Finish Articles' or 'Hit Word Counts' With Many Conclusions Scoring 80%+ On The AI Detector.
