If you were anything like me, the end of 2017 wasn't the healthiest time to be alive... fun was had, crappy food was eaten, and damage was done to the body (worth it).
It's time to get clean.
Why this thread?
In the middle of last year, after a depressive bout, I did my first successful master cleanse. For 5 days (half the 'standard' 10 day cleanse) it was nothing but the special lemonade. By the end, I physically and mentally felt like a new person.
This process cleared my head and helped me maintain a positive attitude and execute like a boss on my work during the weeks following the cleanse. It also brought my attention to what I put in my body and helped me shift into a healthier lifestyle. I realized:
The master cleanse is ideal for optimizing our human performance as internet marketers!
I wanted to share my experience and create an opportunity join together and work on our health.
The goal:
The Master Cleanse consists of dropping solid food for a period of time and consuming only lemonade for the duration. You then ease back into solid, healthy food. The lemonade is made of:
The cleanse is ideal when you have access to a kitchen and private bathroom - which many of us work-from-homers have in spades.
There is a bunch of info out on the net, as well as many similar cleanses. The original Master Cleanse info is held within this PDF. If you're new to the idea, I'd suggest starting here:

Shopping List
Here is a starter shopping list for the cleanse. (I found most my ingredients locally so I could go back and stock up if I ran out):
My first thought was to get everyone on the same schedule and try to host the cleanse day-by-day. I know that will be hard, so instead we can use this thread to host anyone who does the cleanse during Jan/Feb.
I'd encourage you to post your intro thread as far in advance as possible, so others can sync up for solidarity.
Intro Post Template
If you're joining in, let us know and answer these questions in your intro thread:
The idea is to post your daily progress through the end of your cleanse + any followup after the fact you'd like to share. I'd encourage day-to-day updates if you can - from my experience, each day is a journey in itself.

I wanted to share my experience and create an opportunity join together and work on our health.
The goal:
- Introduce the Master Cleanse.
- Provide a schedule, format for intros and bring a group together to help each other through their cleanses.
- Get clean and start off 2018 on the right foot.
- Bring awareness to improving our health as a community.
The Master Cleanse consists of dropping solid food for a period of time and consuming only lemonade for the duration. You then ease back into solid, healthy food. The lemonade is made of:
- Fresh Squeezed Organic Lemon Juice
- Real Maple Syrup (Grade B is ideal)
- Cayenne Pepper
- Water
The cleanse is ideal when you have access to a kitchen and private bathroom - which many of us work-from-homers have in spades.

Shopping List
Here is a starter shopping list for the cleanse. (I found most my ingredients locally so I could go back and stock up if I ran out):
- Organic Lemons (you'll use half a lemon per juice and drink anywhere from 6-12 juices a day)
- Grade B Maple Syrup (I believe I used roughly 64oz for a 5 day cleanse)
- Cayenne Pepper (One standard jar should be fine)
- Laxative Tea (Smooth Move Tea)
- Sea Salt
- Mason Jar w/ Lid (Perfect because you can measure, mix, and store the lemonade)
- Lemon Juicer (Doesn't have to be anything super fancy, but its nice not to have to squeeze by hand)
My first thought was to get everyone on the same schedule and try to host the cleanse day-by-day. I know that will be hard, so instead we can use this thread to host anyone who does the cleanse during Jan/Feb.

If you're joining in, let us know and answer these questions in your intro thread:
- Explain why you're doing the cleanse.
- Have you ever done the master cleanse, or other cleanse(s) before?
- How long will you be cleansing for?
- When will you start?
- Are you setting any consequences for yourself if you fail?
- Any other comments?
