I just took on a new project and their site is built using Adobe Muse. I've never worked with it before so can anyone here tell me a bit about it? Any good for SEO? Pros and Cons?

I normally work in the code and am a bit suspicious of wysiwyg website builders. Would love to hear any opinions on this.

As all wysiwyg website builders this one produces horrible, horrible code as well.
Think Dreamweaver.

Avoid.

Thanks for the input, I had a feeling it might be like this. Thankfully they've agreed to both re-brand and rebuild the website, likely on whatever platform I recommend.

WYSIWYG is all about accessibility, in my mind. It allows non-front end coders to get what they want, just like Wordpress themes. And there's always a price to pay. I can imagine the validation errors galore that show up in a finished WYSIWYG site, or the sheer frustration as it tries to anticipate what you're wanting. Even the simple visual text editor on Wordpress does that. God forbid you write a post in the code editor, click the visual tab, and then go back to the code editor...
