Crossing The $50K A Month Line

I've had a couple of healthy months in what seems to be years ago, but never $50K. My goal for 2022 is to enter that $50k month club. I have a crazy long way to go since losing lots of earnings, but I have a question for the one-man gangs or those with small teams who are doing $50K/mo. What were the one or two things that really contributed to hitting that number? Did you have an edge that helped you get there? Did you do something different from when you were only hitting four fig months? Just curious what things were the biggest contributor to crossing that goal line?

There's been a rash of new members here lately which has led to quite a few people asking specific people and all of us in general to tell them how much money we make. I know, because I'm familiar with you, that that's not what you're doing. You're asking a genuine question. But I'm sure anyone making $50k a month is having serious reservations about outting themselves in this thread.

The reason is, as soon as someone says "I make $50k a month and here's how I do it" every psycho that lurks BuSo is going to stop everything they're doing and make it their life mission to find your projects. And most of them will then enter your niches and try to duplicate what you're doing, and most of them will also try to harm your projects too so they can replace you without competition.

And they all have buddies they will tell, who all have buddies they will tell. And nobody cares because it's not their project or income. And before you know it, your projects are common knowledge, whispered around circles of newbies and intermediates alike. Everyone holds the knowledge close to their chest as if it brings them power knowing it, but everyone knows it. And they hate you even more because they realize you're not doing anything special. You're just doing it and they aren't.

And that's the answer. You know what the job is, and you show up and do it and manage your hired help.

@Ryuzaki thanks for the reply. Yes, you know I'm not looking for specifics and to reverse engineer anything. I'm not interested in those specifics. More so if something really helped carve their way to success.

- Perhaps an edge in an industry
- Scaling with hired help
- Adding something to a process
- Focusing on a certain angle
- Not doing or worrying about certain things

I was looking more for process, strategy responses from people who have hit that mark. For those of you who choose to remain answer privately but are willing to have convos on it, feel free to DM me. I will gladly share what I've done and how I've occasionally seen 5-fig months in the past, but never $50k.

If it's better to just delete the thread, by all means, feel free to do so. I'll still be driving fast in my own lane to hit goals regardless. Just figured I'd post something to separate the mindset and needs from the 4-figs to the higher 5-figs since there are different approaches for each in my humble opinion. But that thinking could be the very reason I haven't hit a $50K month ever.

Have a great week everyone.

I'm not on $50k/m (though we hit almost halfway in November), but I do closely follow two people who make over six figures a month from display ads.

Their main difference is simply scale. There's no edge, no trick, no secret sauce. It's just that their websites have 6,000+ good quality, full-length articles. To put that in context, they're working with over 60 writers producing up to 500 new blog posts a month across their portfolio of sites. Both have never focused on backlinks, only producing solid content.

That said, you should define how you want to hit $50k/m - display ads? dropshipping? lead gen? paid ads? The strategy is different for each, but racing to scale will be one of the most common threads. If you were to propose your plan or give more detail, people could comment on that.

Hi, @MinstrelJunkie thanks for the comment. To clarify, I have no interest in dropshipping. I've made the majority of my money in affiliate but I'm interested to know more about the success of $50k affiliate/display ad winners and what got them there. My biggest site has 700 posts and about 22K keywords. But it's not getting to that level that I need to really win big. It very well could be the industry, which there's nothing I can do about, but I can try other angles/processes to see if things improve before pivoting.

How did u meet people who make 6 figures per month from their blogs?? How do you meet these people? What would you suggest in order to get to this level? Just be good at managing writers and stuff??

This right here is the first problem you need to address.

22k keywords is just too small for a site with 700 articles. And i don't think its an industry problem; a niche with room to produce 700 articles would surely have a better keywords to content ratio, unless you're just churning out content without doing thorough research.

I don't want to believe you're just publishing without actually researching, so could be one or more of :

- Poor On-Page
- Low content quality (not necessarily poor grammar or word count but more towards satisfying search intent)
- You don't have enough Age/Authority to rank for the amount of articles you have.

There's no secret sauce. Just solid research + content production process & HARD WORK - At SCALE.

Hey quick question for the "There's no secret sauce, Just solid research + content production process & HARD WORK - At SCALE"

^ I was talking to a guy few weeks ago and we mentioned Adam enfrog and Jon Dystra. I forgot what exactly we were talking about but both of them had similar amount of revenue but adam did it with just 120 posts where as Joh Dystra had over 1k+ posts to achieve the same amount of revenue so, you don't there's some kind of secret??

so, you don't there's some kind of secret??

Jesus Christ dude.

Alright let's say there are secrets. Let's say you are right. Why would anyone give them to YOU, for FREE?

"The billionaires when they are on camera talk one way, when they are off camera they talk another way.

We have a billionaire, that I don't happen to know personally, that had an experience with a guy in this room. He went into his office, walked in the door and he says "How do I get into your chair?"

And this is one of the billionaires I don't know, I think he's in the top 20, 25 richest in the country.

And he says "You're never going to sit in this chair, GET OUT!"

As opposed to what you think, "Oh come on in David, let me tell you how you can sit in my god-damn chair. I'm getting to ready, I'm old anyways."

That's just not how it is.
" - Dan Peña

Unbelievable.
