Currently on Dropbox and wanted to know if there's a better, more secure option. Heard good things about Spider Oak before but that was years ago.

Any opinions on the best on to use?
 
Depends,

I'd keep using Dropbox if you're willing to zip it up with 7zip and add the password, thats 256 AES encryption right there.
 
I've used Spider Oak in the past, simple to use for most people, but not as cost effective.

Check out Cryptomator it basically allows you to turn any cloud file provider into something similar to Spider Oak. It's also free.
