As I've gotten to meet more and more people in the programmatic media world, I've heard tell of a practice that I find intriguing, and I'm wondering if any of you ballers play this game.

Basically, if you can hook yourself up to a platform like AppNexus, which has an integrated Demand Side Platform (DSP) and Sell Side Platform (SSP), you can straight up buy display inventory from one network and sell it back to another for a higher CPM, taking the difference for yourself. From what I hear, this is a pretty common practice right now, basically like high frequency trading, but with advertising inventory.

Have any of you folks tried this? I'm especially wondering about members like @Satvrn, who have a lot of experience in the media buying world.
 
This is extremely interesting. I have nothing to add but I'm hoping a bump will draw a bit more attention to it.
