Seems like the brand name I chose has a few not so great links going to it. It has the usual whois scraper site links. However, I just found some old very random links on some sort of adult site. They're completely random, and there's heaps of other random links on there.

Am I good to just disavow all these stupid links and keep on pressing?

Edit:
These adult sites just have a huge text box with what looks like scraped words. Somehow my domain got in there.

I picked up a brand site and when scraping up old content found pharma spam on the site. So i'm sure there are shit links pointing to my domain out there. I don't really give a shit. I think for the most part if you make a good site, the quality links will outweigh any older spam links. If the brand name is that good, and old links to the site are valuable - I'd take something that used to be used for spam.

Great thanks, that settles my mind. It wasn't used for spam, just has spammy looking links to it.
You say you don't give a shit about those links. Does that mean you don't disavow them, and let the quality links speak for themselves?

there is no need to disavow any links google just ignore ll spammy links since they haven't been able to figure out a method to find out if crap links are spam done by the owner or if it is a negative seo attack, at worst thosee links may make your site pop up with the manual review team at google, but that will only happen if there is a huge amount of spam signals on and off page as well.

Yes, disavow them and keep moving forward. You WILL pickup more and more of these over the lifetime of your site and it won't hurt you. Some people will say don't disavow to not be a tattle tail, or don't disavow because Google ignores the links all together anyways. I agree with both for the most part, except in cases of autogenerated spam like you're talking about. I'll disavow those all day. It shows good will on my part that I'm actively attempting to keep my site safe and clean. That will come in handy in the event of a negative SEO attack. I update my disavow list monthly to show the ongoing effort.
