How to grow linking accounts

So... as I am starting to linkbuild for the stomach site, I thought I'd share my process of growing accounts I use to link.

Yes, that easy.
Short, sweet excel table that collects my accounts that I make on related forums, blogs, etc.
Warm them up for a bit .. then drop a nice link or two.

Or don't - the one in the screenshot is VERY related, but just filled with spam.

Always interested in knowing how other people "warm up" a link asset. How many posts/interactions are you doing before you drop a link? Do you drop in-depth responses (300+ words), or just a quick one line answer?

I do mixed bags.

Depending on the history/feel of the forum, I might drop a link or two immediately.

On mroe "serious" forums, I mix responses. Like every user.
A few one liners, a few medium responses. sometimes like 200-300 words.

Drop a link when I feel like it fits.

Do you put links in your signature or just in the forum post as a raw URL?
