How to make $ from parked domain?

I have a site that gets 11k direct visitors a month. The domain is a South African slang word in the soccer category. I used to host the domain with SEDO and I was making $100 a month but I think I can make more by making my own custom parked page. I have setup a Wordpress site with Adwords ads on the side but I am only making $20 a month.

Does anyone have any advice on how to make more money from this site? How can I research which category to post articles about on the site in South Africa?

Find soccer and maybe betting affiliate opportunities and throw them on the site, from what I understand the direct visitors is primarely south africans intressted in soccer right

Does anybody know what would happen if OP creates articles about "South Africa Divorce attorney" and make his site neon green as if it was 1999 all over again? Would Adsense serve lawyer ads? Just wondering.

Oh, also, place your adsense block on the top left of the text. English is a right to left language, placing it in the top left of an article makes sure that people will look at it first .

A friend had a similar site, foreign soccer niche. Traffic from many sources except organic. We tried tons of things from betting affiliates, cpa offers, even tshirt sales but nothing earned as much as adsense.

Looking at yours and the .co.za laduma site I would keep it with the news article but try to overhaul the design with CTR in mind. Maybe one of those templates with only one image per page where you have to click thru them all to see the next images? lots of ad refreshes that way

A CPM network could also be appropriate with a static banners or popunders.. maybe BSA? Direct ad sales?
