Is there any point to adding a site to yandex console?

Especially if its a strictly usa domestic based site in both content/products-services/customers...

Is there anything to gain above and beyond what g search console is providing?

Not really.

I have a few sites in the Yandex webmasters console, but only because they're translated into Russian.

There is one tool where you can download a list of every URL discovered and it will tell you why it is or isn't indexed. But even then it just says "BAD_QUALITY" and not exactly what's wrong. Beyond that, there is nothing special regarding technical SEO, links (internal and backlinks), or keyword data (unless you're trying to rank for Russian terms).
