I'm believing that doing a massive research on your competitors is a vitality step in every SEO campaign.

What kind of tools you are using? e.g to check backlinks, get alerts if a competitor change his page etc...

I like monitoring whole niches and all their keywords I'm about to target before entering a new market with this one little tool called SERPWoo... I think the owners are also members of this board...

@ryuzaki,TE vs LTP vs market samurai which is better?

For keyword research? Term Explorer for sure. I just don't use anything of the sort now. I go straight to the source and don't bulk check things like that these days. You kind of get an intuitive feel for your niche and vertical after a while, and after doing keyword research for almost a decade. Term Explorer is the definitely my favorite bulk option. It's actually made by @secretagentdad who is here on Buso!

Yeah I've seen @secretagentdad on wf,its an awesome tool, kindly if,I can quote you "I do go straight to the source and don't bulk check",I'm not getting you there explain please.

Google is the source of the keyword data. I use Google's Keyword Planner to find the keywords I'm interested in and their related terms, their volumes, etc.

SERPWoo = Competitive Search Intelligence & Reverse Engineering
Majestic for the raw data
LinkResearchTools: When you just want to hit a button and let it run
Scrapebox: There is ALWAYS a use for Scrapebox. Every SEO needs a copy.
Scrapy in Python: Too easy, limitless possibilities
RavenTools: I use it more for aggregating and automating reporting across multiple platforms, but it has some useful competitive research features that sometimes make it nice to use for high level stuff. Easy to delegate for assistants too.

SERPwoo does exactly that and a hell of a lot more.

Before it came out, you'd have to use multiple tools for just those things you mentioned, but not anymore.

If you're serious about SEO, you need it.

Yes, serpwoo is the tool toy want.
