Hallo, BuSo.

I have a qeustion about OTA website, maybe any of you had an experiences working with OTA (Online Traveling Agency) Website.

i bought aged domain around the niche, setup the site, and it's already done. (plane ticket from city A to city B, Hotel Booking, etc)
i wonder what kinda todo list of optimization that important for OTA Website, sure, the first thing that i am thinking of is that search nav on the site, and im not sure what else?

Any suggestion and information that i can learn more, it's help me alot

thank you.

I've worked with some huge online travel brands as part of our 'tour of duty' as a linkbuilding agency (though we lost our biggest client during COVID and they replaced the ad agency that hired us with someone who had an inhouse team :( ).

It's hugely competitive - I'm not sure what you're optimising for without more details. I'm assuming you're not going to waste time trying to rank for things like 'flights from frankfurt to dubai' (replace with any sensible pairs) because the same handful of sites have every position locked down in every niche. And they compete with EACH OTHER with 50k/month linkbuilding budgets and who knows how much on content/advertising/brand building etc.

But we'd definitely all need a lot more context to help you figure out what to do depending on what your actual plan is - Over the years I've come across successful sites monetized entirely through OTA type integrations that just do content for weird tours in popular but not 'famous enough to have a destination page on the big sites' type 'backpacking' destinations etc etc... then make their money offering flight+tour combos etc to various partners locally etc. The plan for that would be totally different to doing a site where you organised luxury paragliding tours or something... etc.

Hi, what about the "technical" things to work and optimize? let's say for example, navigation, javascript, log file, etc?

If you don't want help mate just make weird obfuscated replies and sarc. I explained why anyone would need to know more to help you. If you don't want help that's fine. I mean knowing nothing about your site do your navigation properly, do your JS properly (if you need it for your project), log your files how you want and optimise your navigation for converting in your niche whatever it is... seriously don't quote me unless you have something sensible to say.

What's wrong with my question? there's no intended to sarc you or something, i just have a question, that's it.

Sure, i have a lot of question but i am kinda confused to explain it. Sorry for the inconvenience

What's wrong with my question?

Your questions are vague. It's the equivalent of saying "Is there a to-do list on how to build a building?" What type of building? Where? Are you building it on sand? On a rig in the ocean? On the moon? What's the building going to be used for? Office? Residential?

We need to know what obstacles or problems you are currently facing. We can't help you because you need to provide more details on your end goal and your knowledge level. I can tell you to "not waste your time compressing and minifying javascript and CSS files" - do you even understand what that means?

Here is a starter though. The Digital Strategy Crash Course has 90% of your answers:
