Proxy preference? (mainly for data mining)

Back in my hay days, I used php and perl scripts dropped on cheap or free hosting sites as well as Google App Engine, etc to do my data scraping. I once pulled down every listing from YP.com.... but that's a story for another day

What does this crew like to use for proxies. I specifically want to be able to do a decently high volume of queries against google (not nefarious, just using various SERPS as a big corpus for a project)

Haven't used them for a couple of months, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of Trusted Proxies for some pretty hard core data scraping
