Scrapebox commenting without links

I have had this idea for a long time but never implemented it. Let say you use scrapebox to bulk comment using only the keyword or brand name. For every blog comment, it would have only the text and a keyword like "BuilderSociety" will help you with so and so thing.

Is there any benefit in this trick to increase the brand value and potential uptick in google search for that keyword or phrase?

I never tested it but spoke to people who did and claimed it worked (non-linked citations) but they also never continued doing it, so I'd say actions count more than words. Doing it these days might be for a different reason, such as EEAT considerations or including the brand name with a positive sentiment, rather than for linking considerations.
