Scraping Emails For FB Custom Audiences

I know this is a no-no on there...but how would FB know your audiences are scraped from a group?

Do they put bogus emails in each FB group as a marker or something like that? Or is the consensus that they don't really know and just want to discourage people from doing it?

finnegan, did you learn anything more about this?

My guess is that they don't know for sure, but probably have some kind of check for a percentage-based match. If you trip some high number like a 90% match, they just assume you scraped. I wouldn't let it stop me. I'd just try to scrape several groups at once and mix them all together into one audience, maybe even from some other outside sources.

Just create a look-alike audience once you've scraped your data. Less chances of getting flagged and bigger audience.

I haven't. For those like myself who are super paranoid about losing their main account, I will prolly use LAL like Goldorak suggested.
