Separate Ring Tone On Android For Google Voice Numbers

I've never had an Android but even on my old flip phones in the early 2000's you could set different ring tones per caller. Surely that's a feature on Android?

But that may not be what you're asking. I've never forwarded a Google Voice number to my phone. Does it act like a normal contact, showing that it's the Google Voice number on the screen, or is it transparent and just show whoever is actually calling?
