NO MERCY, NO MALICE WITH PROFESSOR SCOTT GALLOWAY
BAILOUTS OR CRONYISM?
Are the billions of tax-payer dollars funneled into big businesses a new form of capitalism? Or, is it cronyism at its worst?

Wish he would be meaner about it. Also, dude runs the best business blog of the last few years.
No Mercy, No Malice

Mark Benioff's argument about censoring Facebook was BS. He made the argument for branding purposes, so that he could brand Time magazine as a trustworthy news source. Misinformation shouldn't be censored. Doing so would create dogmatism, as what's "known" ends up being unchallenged. Misinformation challenges currently established truths, which is good for epistemology and society. What needs to happen with Facebook is that it needs AI to flag misinformation as misinformation and to present the counter arguments to it. Censoring social media is censoring society, which is dogmatism, even if the oppositions are ridiculous, such as anti-vaxxers or flat-earthers. At one point in the not so recent past, misinformation was censored and that's how Galileo was put in house arrest by the Catholic church.

Outside of that, I know people who've worked for Sales Force and they truly enjoyed working there. I think his character is right; but, his argument might have been shaped by the climate the argument was presented in, the audience he's pleasing to, and his personal motivation, having just purchased Time Magazine.

Scott Galloway seems OK. He's spiritual but not theist, which is a unique stance but not unheard of. Cool guy.

As far as this thread is concerned, I think there's more intergenerational robbery than just how the COVID-19 stimulus packages are distributed. Allowing companies to pollute the environment is just another example of this, as future generations would have to deal with a polluted environment. America is just too short sighted to realize this.

But, yeah, I'm totally for giving household $30,000 instead of big corporations. The airlines bailout was BS too. You either need to have 100% free market capitalism, where any company can die, no company is "too big to fail," and the Government does not help in any recession or depression; or, you have socialism, where the Government does step in to help, but for everyone, not just the rich and powerful. What we have is an oligarchy, the rule of the rich. It's terrible and not what a democracy is at all.

I feel like we're watching the beginning of the "Hunger games" coming to fruition
