Two New Forum Features
As always, @MetaData and I are constantly building.
Under the hood of BuSo itself, many things have been upgraded to support future expansion of our features for the community. Two of these features have been rolled out this afternoon.
Let's take a quick look at both...
Selective Quoting
Previously we had to do a whole bunch of clicking around or cutting and pasting to quote a piece of a message we wanted to respond to. None of us complained because it's what we are used to on forums all around the internet. Most archaic forums are still going to force you to jump through these hoops.
However, it's 2015 and this is BuSo.
Now, when you want to quote a piece of a post, you can perform this piece of wizardry and save yourself a precious chunk of time:
All you need to do is highlight the piece of content you want to quote and a small overlay will appear. Choose the "multiquote" option on the left (and this works across several posts or threads), or click "reply" on the right to immediately drop it in the quick reply box at the bottom.
Rules Tab
Everyone should take the time to read the new Rules tab, which can be found here:
These rules aren't outlandish and everyone is mostly in alignment with them as it is. We ask and expect everyone to read and abide by them. As the builder community continues to grow, us early adopters can set a positive standard that will benefit us all by sticking to the rules.
