Anybody remember this...

There was a website that just posted links to interesting stuff everyday. Very simple , HTML 1.0 looking website. However, it had very high DA/PR .... lots of traffic b/c of search value.

I cannot remember what it was but hoping someone has a clue or an example of one of these sites.
 
It has stuff on there that's 'intriguing'. Maybe it's just me but I find 'what happened when a tiny amount of olive oil was put in a lake' more interesting than 'you'll never believe what [politician] did when he got back to his hotel to find [19 prostitutes/the female hockey team etc]'.
 
I used to love the old Wimp. It was a great example of curated content, something that cuts out the mass for those (like me) that haven't the time for endless searching.

If you don't have the time and only want to see "filtered" content then you should check out reddit. neat place.
 
Reddit's way more complicated.

Wimp is for the person who likes juice without the preservatives.
