So a prospective client just contacted me with a local SEO issue. Here's the breakdown:
There are 3 franchisees of Brand in a State, categorized into 3 Districts, District1, District2, District3
Here's the thing though, one of the districts is named as "State 2"
so for example, if the state was Florida, the name of the district would be "Florida 2".
so let's say District 1 and District 2 have normal district names and District 3 is the one with "State 2" as its name.
The problem:
if a search is done for Brand + State 2
- all districts show up in local 3 pack, and all Facebook pages of the individual districts show up on first page
but if a search is done for Brand + State (minus the 2)
- everything is the same except that District 3's Facebook page is omitted from the search results. (District 3 is the one named as "State 2")
So my question is why would a property be omitted from search results, and does the fact that District 3 is named in such a weird way contribute to this at all?
