Given that the old one was plain text with a specific plain font (maybe some special kerning), this is probably an upgrade.

They are aimed at nerds for the most part, and any semi-nerds will be educated on the :// part by other blogs and forums. But what about the vast number of normal non-techie nerds? Did they betray the normies?

Let's not forget, even though they are a tech company talking to tech people, the majority of their users are normal internet users who need a browser to check emails and simple things.

I'm not a fan, if I had to choose one way or the other.

I'm not even sure what the :// is supposed to resemble. One of those sad face things? And no more orange? How does one change from orange to blue lol, not a fan at all.

Please not serious... It's :// as in http://

I saw it and immediately thought of the Mobil logo:

Turning the ill into the colon and double forward slash is a clever idea, it's just been executed in an ugly, boring way.

They weren't the first either. Curl got in before:

I kinda like it. Don't think it's too bad

I dont use drugs but i think when i see this 'oz" stands out LOL. :D

Then i see a pipe

Seems like whenever a company releases a new logo everyone bitches about it (don't mean specifically people in this thread, just saying in general)

Interesting. When I first saw it just glancing at it I thought they were commenting out the "a" as in comments noted as //. Probably over analyzing it.
