WTF did Wordpress do to their hyperlink tool?

I am seeing all kinds of strangeness with this new 'feature'. I might have some plugin conflicts or something, but when I enter a URL into body content, it automatically converts to a link. Also the new smaller tool just hid features I use a click away.

Anyone know how to turn off all these 'features'?
