the vile person was not banned and is still free to spew his nonsense.
LOL... I just got banned for expressing an opinion on a Business forum (nothing to do with Racism, politics or Social Science comments). --- I told someone on a business forum to 'not waste their time chasing poor prospects' --- some Idiot took offense to that and 'prodded me to change' my opinion. --- I refused and got banned.... FUK REDDIT --- I'm back on with another ID!Reddit's automated moderation system is so cancerous. First of all, Reddit has a "4 strike rule". Strike 1 is a warning. Strike 2 is a 3-day ban. Strike 3 is a 7-day ban. Strike 4 is the permanent ban.
On my most recent account, my warning strike was for "threatening violence". The frustrating thing is that the AI gave me a strike for spelling out "blown the fuck out" (BTFO). My 3-day strike was also a "threatening violence" strike because I responded to a person who mentioned a crazy ex-girlfriend who swallowed Drano, and I commented saying that he should have let the Drano take its course. And now my 7-day strike happened because I used the word "trannie" in a comment, and Reddit's wretched AI decided I was being "hateful".
I am so tired of Reddit's bullshit. But, like "Balkans" above me said, there are subreddits I want/need to engage with. Whether I need to ask for help on certain topics, have thoughtful discussions on topics I like, or just to have fun joining in shitposting trends.
How do you know thisThey definitely detect you not only by IP, but by device as well. All new accounts from previously banned users get deleted instantly after a single comment - changing proxies doesn't help.
How do you keep making new accounts do you use a new device? Or do you use a paid vpnLOL... Ip, your account location, email and stuffs.Anyone knows how Reddit bans people permanently across the entire site?
Is it IP only or Mac address?
So far, it seems Reddit mainly tracks browser cookies. My two most recent accounts just got banned, and I am getting ready to create a new account. It has been over 90 minutes since I wiped my browser's Reddit cookies. Maybe I should wait one more hour. How do you know this

A crucial catch on mobile is the SIM card. Using a new SIM card is a must for ban evasion. On that note, avoid devices with eSIM at all costs. My last 2 new account attempts got banned possibly because I joined the same subreddits I was most recently active in while using the older accounts that just got banned. I guess I should just follow the advice earlier in this thread, and do absolutely nothing after creating a new account and just leave it dormant for a month or two. Reddit's system definitely keeps the most watch on newly made accounts. And once my new account is safe to log in and use, I will avoid political bullshit at all costs. It's just not worth it anymore with Reddit's crazy automated moderation. Even worse, Reddit is playing the "Algorithm Game" now. The algorithm pushes users into posts that are likely to generate heated arguments, or already have heated arguments ongoing. In other words, "engagement-baiting".New here too. From what I have seen, it is layers. IP is the obvious one, but browser fingerprinting does most of the heavy lifting now — canvas, fonts, WebGL, all the little things that make your setup unique. Cookies and local storage are the easy catch. Device fingerprint on mobile is worse. The practical lesson for builders: if you run client accounts or test accounts on Reddit, keep them on separate browser profiles with different IPs from day one, and never cross-contaminate. One login from the wrong profile and they connect the dots.
